Letter U Activities
- Download the Letter U Pack and select activities that will engage and challenge your child(ren).
- Talk about unicorns and what makes them unique. Create a story with your child(ren) as you talk about how their unicorn would look, where they would visit, what things make their unicorn unique, etc.
- Find all of the umbrellas in your environment and count them. Talk about their size and color(s) and function. Count them and discuss their differences.
- Gather up any toy boats you have access to. Provide a large enough bin or tub of water that allows the child(ren) to push the boats under water, release them and watch as they float back to the top.
- Look outside. Look up. What is the weather like today? Will you need an umbrella today? Why or Why not? Continue to discuss what clothing attire would be appropriate to dress in today.
- Talk specifically about what qualities are "Unique to Me". Highlight children and their special traits. Allow them time to draw a picture of themselves to display proudly where they can see it and recall all the things that make them unique.
