Letter L Activities
  • Download the Letter L Pack and select an activity that will engage and challenge your child(ren).
  • Sing "I Looked Out the Window and What did I See?" Take a minute to look out the window and discuss what they see.
  • Create sentences or books for children as they tell you what they see and allow them to illustrate it. This could also become their version of Brown Bear, Brown Bear by Eric Carle. You could use a carrier sentence such as "I looked out the window and I saw....." This will allow you to discuss the past tense of see.
  • Play a game of Leap Frog.
  • Gather items in the environment that begin with the letter L and practice saying them. Create labels and have them place them on the corresponding items as they put them away. 
  • Play I Spy as children move around the house or classroom finding both upper and lower case letters.
