Letter E Activities
- Download the Letter E Pack and do a letter sort or another activity.
- Paint with egg yolks colored with food coloring (dries glossy).
- Walk like an elephant.
- Eat eight grapes or strawberries for snack. You could also print out a block number 8 (print in outline format) and place any snack items in the number 8 as you practice counting to 8.
- Make eyeglasses and go for a walk with your child(ren) and talk about what they see with their eyes. You can use these eyeglasses to play "I Spy" for things that start with the letter e or spot a letter e in the environment.
- Give your child some old magazines and let them cut out eyes and ears and glue them onto large sheets of paper. Point out that ears and eyes help you discover the world around you. Discuss how ears help us to hear things around us and eyes help us to see the things around us. What do you currently hear? What do you currently see? Allow them to tell you one thing they see with their eyes and what they hear with their ears. Write down their words and them allow them to illustrate a drawing.
- Discuss the words “Empty” and “Full”. Fill a basket with clothes , blocks, water, or objects. Dump them out and explain when there is nothing filling an object or container, it is empty. Fill it back up and explain that when the container has items in it and they are close to the top, the container is then full.
- Do some exercises. Discuss the importance of exercising each day.
